This special workshop is a brand-new offering for DC Peers featuring our own Cade Emeritz, local artist and experienced weaver! Participants will receive a 90 minute introductory lesson covering set up, weaving instruction, and simple yet effective techniques for great variety in finished projects, followed by another 90 minutes of open studio time to work at your own pace and receive feedback, instructional support, and guidance as you weave. Wall hangings, small purses, placemats, and miniature rugs are among production choices. The final product you create will be highly personalized to your own taste and design.
This workshop is capped at 5 participants, but a waitlist will be available and interest will determine the size and availability of future workshops, so let us know if you want to see more!
7"x10" lap looms will be provided for use during the lesson and studio. For an additional cost, participants may opt to keep their loom to use at home and in future workshops. All other materials will be provided.
